Global Maritime Academy Admission into ND and NVC 2023/2024

Global Maritime Academy (GMA) Nigeria has commenced the sale of it admission form into its National Diploma (ND) and National Vocational Certificate (NVC) Full-Time Regular and Part-Time programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session. The application forms are available in the admission office, sales point and also online platform.

Global Maritime Academy Admission

Application is being invited for admission from all interested and suitably qualified candidates in the Global Maritime Academy (GMA) Nigeria into its National Diploma (ND) and National Vocational Certificate (NVC) full-time regular and part-time programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session. Candidates should note that the screening exercise will take place in the School Campus in Delta State.

Available Courses for ND Full-Time Regular Programme

The following courses are open for admission:

  1. Shipping Management
  2. Security Management & Technology
  3. Marine Engineering Department
  4. Maritime Transport
  5. Welding and Fabrication Technology
  6. Nautical Science
  7. Computer Science

The Full-Time ND programme runs for two years (four semesters), while the Pre-National Diploma lasts for one year (two semesters).

Available Courses for ND Part-Time Programme

Candidates interested in part-time study can enroll in the following courses:

  1. Shipping Management
  2. Security Management & Technology
  3. Maritime Transport

The Part Time ND programme is designed to be completed in three years (six semesters), and the Pre-National Diploma runs for one year (two semesters).

Available Programme for NVC

Candidates interested in the NVC can apply for the following course:

  1. Computer Studies

Industrial Attachment is compulsory for all ND students.

Entry Requirements

Prospective candidates for the ND and NVC programmes must possess at least WASC/GCE O-Level, SSCE or NECO with credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and one of the following subjects: Geography, Commerce, Agricultural Science, Government, Biology, or Chemistry at not more than two sittings.

Entry requirements for Welding and Fabrication Technology include O-level credits in Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. Pre-ND candidates must have four O’level passes.

Obtaining the Application Form

Qualified candidates can obtain the application form in one of the following ways:

  1. Visit the GMA Admission Office to purchase the application form if close to the school.
  2. Visit a sales point to purchase the application form if close to one.
  3. Purchase the application form online through the school’s portal: http://myportal.gma.edu.ng/.

Submission of Application Forms

After filling out the application form, candidates are to submit it online. Clear instructions for completing the form are provided. After successful submission, candidates will receive bank details for payment of the application form.

The screening exercise for the 2023/2024 session will take place at the school campus on a date and time that will be communicated to candidates. All prospective students are expected to arrive early at the School Campus, Secretariat Road, Agbowhiame, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, Nigeria, for the screening.
