The service which allows Airtel customers to transfer airtime to one another is known as Me2U. You can transfer airtime through this service within Nigeria and between people of the same network only. The Airtel USSD / airtime transfer is *432# and the default pin for all Airtel users is 1234.
How To Use This Code To Transfer Airtime
First of all, you need to create a transfer pin. This pin is only peculiar to you this transaction and it is advised that you keep this pin as private as possible. To create the pin on Me2U, follow the directives given below;
Dial *432# on your Airtel line, a conversation will be displayed Select 2 to enter the recipient’s mobile number
Enter the amount And enter your pin Airtel will send you a message with your default pin, you might use it or change to any four digit number of your choice. A service charge of N10 will be deducted from your account.
Or use this one time SMS format Send a text in this format to 432: PIN 5555 to 432 E.g. to change password to 4321, the text sent will read — PIN 1234 432. 432 They will send you a confirmation SMS. Or You Send, 2u [Phone Number] [Amount] [PIN] to 432 For example, in transferring 50 worth of airtime to your friend, to transfer N50 worth of airtime, text: 2u 080****** 50 1234 to 432. How To Retrieve A Forgotten Airtel Airtime Transfer Pin
if you have been disallowed to use the Airtel Me2U service due to an unrecalled service pin, do not worry , this is how to retrieve the lost/ forgotten pin. To facilitate this service, a credit balance of not less than N500 is required on your Airtel line.
Dial *185# and choose option 5 which is (my account)
Your account will display with other numerous options, select option 8 which is pin reset.
Enter the last pin you remember and an alternative number to send a temporary pin A message will be sent to you, open the message to reveal the temporary pin Dial *185# again to enter the temporary pin in order to set a new transfer pin At this point, it is worthy to note that retrieval of the lost pin may not be achievable, but an option will be given to enable you reset the pin.
