This is to inform the general public of the Nigerian Army 85th Regular Recruits Intake (RRI) for 2023 and are inviting application from all interested and qualified candidates. The available post are tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women.
The Nigerian army recruitment form is accessed free of charge and the application deadline is Monday, 14th April, 2023. Nigerian citizen from 18 years and above are free to apply for the Nigerian Army, and should possess 4 passes in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB and not more than two sitting.
Nigerian Army Recruitment Requirements
Minimum Educational Requirement:
- All candidates must possess a WASCE, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB. In addition to the aforementioned requirements, applicants for trades positions must also possess a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate.
Basic Requirements:
- Applicants must be single, born in Nigeria, and in possession of a National Identity Card/NIN or BVN.
- Applicants must be physically, mentally, and medically fit according to Nigerian Army Standards.
- Applicants must not have been convicted of a crime by a court of law.
- Applicants must have a valid birth certificate or age declaration that has been certified by the National Population Commission, a hospital, or a local government council.
- Applicants must possess a valid state of origin certificate.
- Male and female applicants must not be shorter than 1.68 metres and 1.65 metres, respectively.
- Non-trades applicants must be at least 18 years old and no older than 22 years old, while trades applicants must be no older than 26 years old as of April 31, 2022.
- All applicants must have at least four passes in WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB in no more than two sittings.

How to Apply for Nigerian Army Recruitment Form
- Visit the online application portal at https://recruitment.army.mil.ng/darrr.
- Create a user account using a functional email address as your username.
- Log in using your username and password.
- Fill out and submit the application form, then print a copy.
- Print and complete the Guarantor Form.
- Bring copies of the Application and Guarantor Forms to your state’s recruitment centre.
Notable Dates:
- Shortlisted candidates’ names will be published on the Nigerian Army website.
- State Recruitment Screening Exercise will take place from May 2 to May 17, 2023.
- Application deadline: April 14, 2023.
Nigerian Army Recruitment General Instructions
- No Pre-Selection Computer Based Test will be conducted.
- All screening will take place at candidates’ respective state of origin.
- Candidates must follow COVID-19 protocols during the recruitment process.
- Candidates caught falsifying or forging results/documents will be disqualified and handed to the police for prosecution.
