LASU 26th Convocation Ceremony Programme of Event

Lagos State University (LASU) wishes to inform the general public and the entire graduating students and staffs of the institution of its upcoming 26th Convocation Ceremonies which is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, 14th June to Thursday, 22nd June, 2023. The event will be featuring various ceremonies such as Press Conference, Sport Competition for staffs, Religious Services, Cultural Festival, Convocation Lecture and Awarding of Diplomas and Degrees.

The Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University (LASU) in person of Prof. Ibiyemo Ibilola Olatunji-Bello on behalf of the management and staffs of the institution has extended invitation to all Graduands, Parent/Guardians and to the general public concerning its upcoming 26th Convocation Ceremonies which is scheduled to commence from Wednesday, 14th June, through Thursday, 22nd June, 2023.

LASU Convocation Ceremony Programme of Events

The series of events leading to and including the convocation ceremony will occur from Wednesday, 14th June through Thursday, 22nd June 2023. The events are designed to celebrate the achievements of the graduating students and foster the spirit of the LASU community.

Pre-Convocation Events:

  1. Convocation Press Conference
    Date: Wednesday, 14th June 2023
    Venue: First Floor, Senate Chamber, Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.
    Time: 10:00 a.m.
  2. Convocation Sports Competition for Staff
    Date: Thursday, 15th June 2023
    Venue: LASU Sports Centre, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.
    Time: 10:00 a.m.

These main events encapsulate the heart of the Convocation Ceremonies and include:

  1. Jumat Service
    Date: Friday, 16th June 2023
    Venue: LASU Central Mosque, Campus, Ojo, Lagos.
    Time: 10:00 a.m.
  2. Special Thanksgiving Service
    Date: Sunday, 18th June 2023
    Venue: University Chapel (Chapel of Light), Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.
    Time: 10:00 a.m.
  3. Coconut Breaking and Cultural Festival
    Date: Monday, 19th June 2023
    Venue: Badagry Gate Entrance, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.
    Time: 9:00 a.m
  4. Command Performance and Convocation Play by the Department of Theatre Arts and Music
    Date: Monday, 19th June 2023
    Venue: Buba Marwa Auditorium, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.

  5. Convocation Lecture
    Date: Tuesday, 20th June 2023
