This is to inform the general public and all prospective candidates that the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro Entrance Examination date for the 2023/2024 Higher National Diploma (HND)Full-Time programme has been announced. Announcement to Candidates
The institution’s management has conveyed the date, time, and venue for the entrance examination/screening exercise. The online entrance examination for all HND Full-Time applicants has been meticulously planned and will be conducted as per the schedule below:
Day 1 Examination Details
- Exam Date: Tuesday 3rd October 2023
- Time: 8.00 a.m.
- Schools Involved:
- School of Management Studies
- Departments: Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Marketing, Public Administration, and Taxation
- School of Communication and Information Technology
- Departments: Library and Information Science, Mass Communication, Office Technology and Management
- School of Environmental Studies
- Departments: Architectural Technology, Art and Design, Building Technology, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Surveying and Geo-informatics, Urban and Regional Planning
- School of Management Studies
Day 2 Examination Details
- Exam Date: Wednesday 4th October 2023
- Time: 8.00 a.m.
- Schools Involved:
- School of Agricultural Technology
- Departments: Agricultural Extension and Management, Animal Production Technology, Crop Production Technology
- School of Engineering
- Departments: Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering
- School of Pure and Applied Sciences
- Departments: Computer Science, Food Technology, Hospitality Management, Mathematics and Statistics, Nutrition and Dietetics, Science Laboratory Technology, Tourism Management

Application Closure and Requirements
The deadline for the submission of the Online Application Form for all HND Full-Time is slated for 27th September 2023.
Examination Protocols
All HND candidates are mandated to bring two (3) sets of the following documents to the examination centre:
- Print-outs of the Acknowledgment and Examination Slips.
- Clean and clear copies of ND Notification of Result and O/Level result.
- Completion of Industrial Attachment letter (IT Letter).
Examination Venue
The designated venue for all entrance examinations is the Polytechnic ICT Centre, located in the West Campus.
Nature of Examination
Please note, all entrance examinations will be conducted on a computer-based (CB) platform, emphasising the polytechnic’s commitment to utilising advanced technology in its academic processes.
