General Admission Requirements for FCFMT
O’Level Requirements
To apply for any of the ND programmes, candidates must hold a minimum of five O’Level credits in pertinent subjects, acquired in one or two sittings through SSCE, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB examinations. Prospective students are advised to meticulously review the detailed requirements for their chosen programme before proceeding with the online application.
UTME Requirements
Candidates should have opted for FCFMT as their most preferred institution while filling out the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) form for the 2023/2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Additionally, applicants must score a minimum of 100 marks in the UTME and upload their O’Level results onto the JAMB portal.
Eligibility Criteria for ND Programmes
Fisheries Technology
For Fisheries Technology, candidates must have five O’Level credit passes in core subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, and Biology or Agricultural Science, obtained in a maximum of two sittings. These qualifications are supplemented by minimum JAMB UTME cut-off scores in English Language, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, and Economics.
Marine Engineering
Marine Engineering candidates require five O’Level credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, and Chemistry, among others. The JAMB UTME subject requirements are English Language, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
Nautical Science
For Nautical Science, five O’Level credits are mandatory in subjects such as Mathematics, English Language, Physics, and Geography. JAMB UTME subjects include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Geography.
Maritime Transport and Business Studies
Applicants must possess five O’Level credits in subjects like Mathematics, English Language, and any three from a list including Biology, Economics, and Geography. JAMB UTME requirements include English Language, Mathematics, Commerce or Economics, and Geography or Government.
Industrial and Labour Relations
Candidates need five O’Level credits in Mathematics, English Language, Economics or Commerce, Government, and one other subject. JAMB UTME subjects include English Language, Government, Economics or Commerce, and Literature in English.
Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering candidates need five O’Level credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, and Chemistry, among others. JAMB UTME subjects are English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
Computer Science
