Here’s What You Need to Know
Those who’ve made the cut can proudly see their names on the official NDA portal, www.nda.edu.ng. If you’re among this esteemed group, here’s a heartfelt congratulations! But with the joy of success comes the responsibility of next steps. Here’s a detailed rundown of what lies ahead.
Reporting Details
- Date: Ensure you mark Saturday, 26 August 2023 in your calendar. That’s when you’re expected at the NDA Ribadu Campus (old site), Kaduna.
- A Gentle Reminder: Cadets admitted to the NDA are students in the full sense. They’re not to be viewed as employees in training. Even if there’s a decision to withdraw or if one faces dismissal prior to their commission as an officer, they won’t be entitled to any claims related to employment with the institution or the Federal Government of Nigeria.
- Time is of the Essence: If by Monday, 28 August 2023, you don’t make an appearance, you might just lose your coveted spot. Both selected and reserve candidates are anticipated on the same day. Upon your arrival, you’d be welcomed at the reception centre housed within the Centre of Excellence Building, NDA Ribadu Campus.
Documents & Essentials to Bring Along
Documentation: Originals are a must. Carry along:
- First School Leaving Certificate
- Primary School Testimonial
- School Certificate Results (NECO/WAEC)
- Senior Secondary School Testimonials
- Birth Certificate/ Declaration of Age

Without these, your admission could be at risk.
Personal Belongings: From formal attire to sports gear, ensure you pack:
- Regular attire: black and white trousers, lounge suites, national dress, belts, and shirts.
- Shoes: cover shoes, canvas shoes, brown canvas, and even a football boot.
- Sportswear: white shorts, pyjamas, blue shorts, white vests, and a swimming trunk/shirt.
- Tech & Others: an electronic tablet, personal computer, pressing iron, digital quartz wristwatch.
- Personal care: polish, brushes, shaving kit, toiletries, bed sheets, and pillow cases.
For our female cadets, there are some additional items:
- Heeled shoes, lounge skirts, short tights, and trouser suits.
It’s crucial to remember that the initial three months will be immersive. This means no visitors and no stepping out of the Academy.
