AfriSAFE set to reward prominent Nigerians for outstanding performance

Brig-Gen Buba Marwa (retired), Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and Mr. Kola Adesina, Group Managing Director of Sahara Power Group, will receive awards at the 4th Africa Safety Award for Excellence (AfriSAFE) today.

The AfriSAFE Banquet at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, is hosting an award ceremony today with the goal of recognizing exceptional professionalism, rewarding excellence, and promoting risk-prevention awareness.

Along with other individuals, Mr. Marwa and Mr. Adesina will receive recognition for their contributions to the health and safety sector by preserving a safe and healthy workplace for the benefit of people and the environment.

Other recipients include Captain Musa Nuhu, Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Mrs. Abimbola Fashola, Chair of the Leadership Empowerment And Resource Network (LEARN), Dr. Alfred I. Okoigun, Executive Chairman of Rift Oil Petroleum Limited, and Board Member of NLNG Engr. (DR) Rabiu Ibrahim Suleiman.

Every year, the Africa Safety Award for Excellence (AfriSAFE) raises awareness about all aspects of health, safety, security, and the environment (HSSE) while also honoring and showcasing the accomplishments of businesses, people, and groups that go above and beyond to maintain a safe and healthy workplace for the good of people and the environment.
