Salem University Gets Full NUC Accreditation for 7 Programmes

Salem University Lokoja has received National Universities Commission (NUC) full accreditation for seven BSc. Courses. This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Alewo Johnson-Akubo while having a talk with the Newsmen. The accreditation makes a remarkable turnout for the Institution at large, the Students and the staffs.

 Salem University Gets NUC Accreditation

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has fully accredited seven academic programmes for the Salem University Lokoja. The accredited courses are Computer Science, Information Technology, Geology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and MSc/MBA Business Administration.

The Vice Chancellor stated that the NUC accreditation approval letter was received on March 9, and signed by the Deputy Director, Programme Accreditation, Arc. S.S. Ikani, for the NUC Executive Secretary, Professor Abubakar Rasheed.

The letter came as great achievement to the institution and with great enthusiasm the VC stated that with the recent development i.e the accreditation, the institution can admit more students for the 2022/2023 academic session, he said that the admission process is still on going. And will be giving them access to quality education, serene and outstanding learning environment.

Professor Alewo Johnson-Akubo, the Vice Chancellor of Salem University, expressed his delight at the news, stating that the accreditation of all their programmes in the seven colleges was a significant development for the institution. He also noted that the university’s infrastructural development was well-equipped to accommodate more students.
